7th September 2006 - Tania signs for Harrow Sports

British National Champion Tania Bailey has signed a sponsorship agreement with Harrow Sports to endorse the brand’s range of performance squash rackets and clothing, announced the player’s management company internationalSPORTgroup.

The 26-year-old, who crowned a highly successful junior career in 1997 by becoming World Junior Champion, enjoyed a meteoric rise up the World Rankings to a career high No.4 before her progress was abruptly halted in 2003 after a virus infection affecting her respiratory system restricted her participation in major events.

A return to good health in 2005 enabled the former British Open and Tournament of Champions finalist to climb back towards a single figure ranking and a richly deserved British National title success early this year has seen her dispel any lingering doubts concerning her health.

“Last year in many ways was like a new beginning for me and I am thrilled to be signing for Harrow Sports at this exciting time in my career,” said the England No.1. “Winning the British Nationals in February has given me a lot of confidence and I am looking forward to repaying Harrow Sports for the confidence that they have shown in me.”

Mark Chaloner of Harrow Sports UK said: "I am delighted that Tania has chosen to join Harrow Sports at such an important time in her career. Her professionalism and standing in the game make her the perfect ambassador for the brand."

Paul Walters of internationalSPORTgroup, the squash specialist marketing and management company that represents the English star, added: “At twenty-six years of age, Tania still has her best years are ahead of her and her ambitions and commitment to being the best, in many ways mirror that of Harrow Sports, who have gained greater prominence in squash over recent years.”
